Wow, it is hard to believe that one year ago we walked into the stuffy Civil Affairs Office in Nanjing, China, and laid eyes on Taylor for the first time. She was waiting with her nanny when we walked in the door. Her nanny showed her our picture in the album we had sent her and she reluctantly allowed me to pick her up. She only cried when the photographer made her take her lollipop out to get her adoption paperwork photo. I couldn't wait to get her back to the room and out of those boy clothes (even though every day she tells me she is a boy.) Enjoy the pictures.

Wow--what a sweet day for your family. :)
Congrats on one year, guys! Hard to imagine it's been that long, and yet, that she hasn't been with you forever, huh?
happy one year!
How did it happen so fast???
hugs

Happy Family Day sweet Taylor. I remember how scared and quiet she was in that civil affairs office... holding on to her lolipop for dear life. Now, just look at her! She has blossomed in a place where she truly belongs. I was so happy to share in your time in China but I am even happier to see how wonderfully she is doing a year later!
Hugs to you all!
One year...that is amazing. I remember watching you all go to China, so intently watching one of Ty's friends get her forever family. I am still so thankful our paths crossed! Have a blessed day! PS: Tyson tells me he's a girl :)
HAPPY Day!!! Can't believe it has been one year already. She has grown so much!
What great "gotcha" pictures. It brings back so many memories--and ours was three years ago!
