Wednesday and Thursday

On Wednesday morning we headed to Shamian Island to do some shopping. I bought a bunch of squeaky shoes for Bailee and some other presents. We plan to go back with our travel group on Wednesday morning. We ate lunch at Lucy's, but I didn't like what I ordered.

On Thursday we went to the Chen Family Ancestral Hall. We had visited last time and knew that was the place to get a beautiful wall hanging with Bailee's name on it and a chop. A chop is a stamp that has the Chinese symbols for your name and your American name on it. You dip in in red ink to stamp your "signature".

After the Chen Hall we went to the Canton Tower. It is one of the largest radio towers in the world. It was being built the last time we were here.

Bailee with our guide Miko
This is Bailee with our guide, Miko. She has a son a little younger than Bailee.

Stefan went on a ride at the top that raises up and drops you. He has the pictures on his phone so I will have to post them later.

Here is a link to find out more about the Canton Tower. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canton_Tower
